StatinsAlthough Big Pharma, and many doctors prescribe you with statin drugs. Sadly, the repeated research has shown that statins are just sham, and nothing helpful!!!

You will be alarmed by the latest research published in the American Heart Association, and the American College of Cardiology that confrims that one doesn’t require to be having high cholesterol or even heart disease to start off with statins. Stroke, diabetes, and other factors that lead to heart attack can be enough for moderate to high dependency on statins for life.

So Question Arises:

Are Statins Effective???

Despite the favorable statistics about the efficacy of statins to prevent the heart attack. There is an effective metrics to measure whether the patient requires surgery, medications, or any medical procedure; for him/her  to benefit from, and for better cure is known as “number needed to treat” (NNT).

Let’s me tell you how NNT works for example: NNT for IV magnesium for asthma patients is one out of three. Meaning one patient will show improvement if IV magnesium is given to him/her during asthmatic attack in the emergency room of hospital to the point that he/she won’t need a hospitalization.

The best NNT is one that guarantees that the therapy will suit every patient. However, if the NNT is higher i.e around 40 or above, means that the treatment will be less suitable or beneficial for the patient.

Moving back to statins: The NNT of statins in preventing heart attack, and stroke is 83 that is highly unimpressive. Diet, exercise, and other lifestyle changes are safer than drug since they have very low NNT.

Mostly, people who are taking statins are healthy. They have never had a stroke, heart disease or heart attack. So, the likelihood to be helped by statins is very non-existent.

 

Important Results

According to BMJ-British medical journal, 2013 study; it was found that people with chances of  developing heart disease with a percentage of 20 percent or more; NNT was 140 over 10 years. Which very high, so poor result!!!!

Thus, based on researches, it is to conclude that statins can’t prevent heart attack or save a life of someone who is about to die. So, it’s just BIG PHARMA MAKING MONEY!!!!

So, what are the DANGERS OF CONSUMING STATINS????

Statins causes sexual dysfunction, cancer, liver damage, cataract, memory loss, confusion, mood disorders, muscles breakdown, and blocks absorption of coenzymes Q 10 (needed for energy production).

 

Statins Might Cause Diabetes

According to the American Medical Association’s journal (JAMA), out of 32,752 patients who were taking daily statins low to high dosage, who were studied, 2,749 developed diabetes-type 2.

So, the number is way higher. Watch out!

Statins Might Lead to Memory Loss

Statins is a bad news for brain. As your brain need cholesterol to function well, and for good memory. Plus, statin appears to adversely affect Co-enzyme Q10, and tau which are needed for healthy brain cells, and structure. Taking statins? Alzheimer’s coming WATCH OUT!!!!!

According to the American Journal of Cardiology, study, patients with no heart disease but high cholesterol were given Lipitor, 20mg thrice daily for six months.

It resulted in development of diastolic dysfunction in 71% of patient i.e congestive heart failure. Now this subgroup was given CoQ10, 300 mg, daily, along with Lipitor for three months. Results showed 89% of reversal of one marker of diastolic dysfunction, and 44% had all the three markers reversed.

The BIG PHARMA is the clear winner! And trusting patients are at loss as they are not unaware that they are digging their own graves by taking statins.

MELATONIN MUCH MORE THAN A SLEEPING AID

MelatoninIf you have seen my video blog about melatonin then you as my readers are well-aware about melatonin powers that it’s a hormone that aids natural sleep. But did you know that it is much more than that it’s actually an effective anti-aging treatment, and excellent antioxidant. I will discuss in details what other health benefits it offers.(so keep on reading!!! Because you are about to get more equipped!!!) :)

So, here goes:

Melatonin Aids GERD, and Acidity

It suppresses the stomach acid, and controls, and check, the gastric acid from causing any negative effect on esophagus.

I will mention one study here,  in which 351 people who had mild to severe heartburn were tested. One group was given Prilosec an acid blocker;  while the second group was given melatonin, B vitamins, and amino acids. All the members of the group on melatonin, and other supplements showed complete resolution of the heartburning symptoms incomparision with the group on Prilosec. (Only 66 percent of them showed total relief.)

On the basis of the above mentioned study. I recommend you to take 6 mg of melatonin half an hour before bedtime along with B vitamins, and other amino acids to boost the efficacy of melatonin. Doing so will keep away the heart burn, and will surely prevent, and treat GERD, naturally.

Melatonin Prevents, and Treats Migraine

Another benefit of melatonin is that it can curtail the severity, and frequency of dreadful migraine. And it’s needless to tell you how very painful, and hard these attacks are for the migraine sufferers.

Based on a study published in “Neurology,” 32 people were given 3mg of melatonin, half hour before bedtime for about three months. There results are astonishing. All the subjects reported a decrease in frequency, and severity of migraine by a whopping 78%. These findings are substantial enough for me to recommend the migraine sufferers to take 3 mg of melatonin, along with magnesium;  half hour before bedtime; for every single night. So, all the best. :)

Melatonin Protects Cardiovascular System

Furthermore, based on the Spanish study, melatonin was given to fresh heart attack patients while they were still in ICU, and after; for about six months of time period. The results of the follow-up period proved that people on 3 mg of melatonin, half hour before bedtime; dealt well, and there was a phenomenal drop in subsequent heart attack or sudden cardiac death. From the heart patients who had decreased levels of melatonin.

Melatonin Prevents Type 2 Diabetes

Also, one of the latest reason behind developing type 2 diabetes is melatonin. My conclusion is based on a Nurse Health research carried between 2000, and 2012;  in which 740 women were studied.  The research findings were that 370 women who had higher levels of melatonin didn’t developed type 2 diabetes. These results are enough for me to urge you to take melatonin if diabetes runs in family or you are diagnosed as pre-diabetic along with proper low glycemic index diet. :)

Melatonin Prevents Muscular Degeneration

Plus, melatonin supplementation prevents the retinal cells from damaging effects of free radicals.

Based on a study that included 100 subjects, with age-bound muscular degeneration. They were given 3mg of melatonin half hour before sleeping time. Their results showed minimal retinal damage progression, and had maintained visual acuity.

Melatonin Helps Decrease Tinnitus Symptoms

According to the University of Washington School of Medicine study; melatonin decreased tinnitus that is characterized by ringing of both the ears.

Twenty four tinnitus patients,  ranging from 18 years to 70 years of ages;  were given melatonin of 3mg, half hour before sleep-time for six months. Consequently, showed reductions in tinnitus symptoms, and with the added benefits of improved sleep quantity, and quality. So, do consider if you have tinnitus. :)

Melatonin Prevents, and Treats Cancer

Finally, let me end my blog with an exciting animal’s study, results. Melatonin rich blood halts cancer cells from progression, and consequently, helps in reduction of tumor growth. Other than that based on 10 studies, meta-analysis; it was reported that patients suffering from brain, lung, breast, skin, and kidney cancers; took 10 to 40 mg of melatonin daily.  Had low death rate, low cancer growth, and definitely, had less money expenditure on cancer adverse effects treatments. So, very helpful? Isn’t it! :)

The Egg Diet plan is an effective, low calories diet plan. Which is guaranteed to give you quick weight loss but not for a longer period of time. It is also a FACT, that your body need good nutrition to function well, and remain healthy. While, restricted or extreme diets can cause your body to go weak, and they might also damage it, and might consequently, lead to serious health problems.

 

But still, if you are healthy otherwise, and want to reduce quick weight, and real fast to look good on certain occasion one week ahead etc. then I recommend you to try this.

The Egg Diet

Eggs are great source of protein, and important nutrients. So, eating more eggs, and eliminating other unhealthy foods for A WEEK (I repeat JUST A WEEK) will gear-up your metabolism, and will cause rapid weight-loss.

As this diet is restricted, and mainly comprises of eggs. Eggs will give you satiety, and satisfaction, and by the end of ONE WEEK, you will be 12 POUNDS DOWN. (Temporarily) If you will eat junk or processed foods again. You will again pile up weight. So, just a temporary solution.

Anyways, the diet plan is as follows:

 

First day:

Breakfast: 2 eggs (boiled), low fat milk 1 cup, and 2 oranges

Lunch: 6 ounces of chicken (boiled/skinless), yogurt 1 cup

Dinner: 1 egg (boiled), 5 ounces of chicken (boiled/skinless) and 1 orange

 

Second Day:

Breakfast: 2 eggs (boiled) with one lemon juice in water (diluted)

Lunch: fish 5 ounce (roasted), 1 grapefruit

Dinner: 3 eggs (boiled)

 

Third Day:

Breakfast: 2 eggs (boiled) with one lemon juice in water (diluted)

Lunch: beef 6 ounces (boiled), 1 grapefruit

Dinner-3 eggs (boiled)

 

Fourth Day:

Breakfast: 3 eggs (scrambled) with dill, parsley, and onions

Lunch: 5 ounces of chicken (cooked) with salad

Dinner: 1 egg (boiled), 2 oranges

 

Fifth Day:

Breakfast: 2eggs (boiled), 2 carrots, sour cream 1 TBsp.

Lunch: 2 carrots, orange juice 1 cup (fresh)

Dinner: oily fish (boiled) 3 ounces, 1 egg (boiled)

 

Sixth Day:

Breakfast: yogurt 5 ounce (low-fat), 1 orange

Lunch: 2 eggs (boiled), 2 grapefruits

Dinner: water

 

Seventh Day:

Breakfast: 2 eggs (boiled), half grapefruit

Lunch: beef 6 ounces, 1 orange

Dinner: water

 

The Egg Diet is real easy to follow,  and low budget diet. Follow for just ONE WEEK. Drink plenty of water throughout the week. When weeks ends I recommend you to eat clean, nourishing diet again but also include eggs, cheese, grapefruit, and orange for first couples of day to prevent a shock to your body.

Eggs: Should be organic, Free-range, and Omega 3 rich

Different nutrients, vitamins, and minerals have been studied scientifically to find out their effect on cancer cells. Did you know? Our body contains cancer cells but our gene expression (the environmental factors), and our eating habits can make them proliferate out of sorts. Cancer being the leading cause of death, Worldwide. It is more necessary for people who have darker skin. (like Pakistani, Latin, African American, Indian etc.), and for people where there is little sunlight throughout or is present for limited portion of year.
By now, most of you must have guessed the nutrient, it’s vitamin D. The SUNLIGHT VITAMIN!
Most of us are deficient in it according to the statistics gathered worldwide. I mentioned different races because they all have darker skin pigmentation  in common, and usually people with darker skin need more sunlight to make their healthy range of vitamin D.
Since, most of us stay indoors for longer time. It is very obvious that we might be seriously deficient in it.
Or if you take 15 minutes of sunlight? It’s still not enough as it makes only a tiny part of 12 hours of sunlight throughout the day. It makes it perfectly vital, to eat diet that is rich in vitamin D.
Along with making sure to avoid the sun exposed parts of your body alone, don’t use commercial soap or body wash on them, as it can wash down the vitamin D, (because it  takes 48 hours for your cells to absorb vitamin D from your skin), and also avoid sun blocks, you can use coconut oil instead. It is natural sunblock, and doesn’t  halt vitamin D synthesis.
Research proves that vitamin D is the best prevention against cancer, diabetes, and heart disease. And it’s deficiency is linked with high BP, depression,  breast cancer, colon, prostrate,and ovarian cancer, and other diseases.
Adequate amount of vitamin D keeps the balance of the body, and ensure inhibition of cancer growth.
